Terms and Conditions

1. Entry is open to home subscribers to the New Zealand Herald only. Anyone employed by (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) the promoter, Ford New Zealand, or their related companies and any agencies associated with these companies or with the promotion or any home subscriber who receives delivery under a complimentary (non-paid) subscription or any home subscriber who has an overdue subscription account balance as at 11.59pm on Thursday, 11 October 2012 are ineligible to enter or to win the prize. If a winner is under the age of 16 years the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent(s) or guardian(s). The winner and or parent or guardian of the winner must hold a valid New Zealand Drivers Licence from the time the car is collected.
   
   All Participants acknowledge that even if the promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
   
   A “home subscriber” is defined as the person(s) listed in the promoter’s database as receiving delivery of a paid newspaper subscription and residing at the delivery address.

    

2. There will be one (1) winner and the winner will receive:
   • 2012 Ford Focus Ambiente Wagon (automatic) with a RRP of $34,490 including GST.
   • All on road costs and a 12 month registration, in the name of the winner.
   • The vehicle comes with a full tank of fuel.
   • The colour and specifications of the vehicle shown on the promotional material may differ to the prize vehicle.
   • Insurances are the responsibility of the winner.
   • The vehicle will be available for collection from Ford New Zealand at The Ford Building, Level 2, 86 Highbrook Drive, East Tamaki, Auckland


3. The promoter and Ford New Zealand reserve the right to change any Terms & Conditions without any prior notice.
4. The promoter reserves the right to announce or publish the winner’s name and/or photograph for publicity purposes.
5. The winner will be notified by phone. If the prize is not claimed within 7 days from the draw date the promoter may re-draw a new winner. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service and no exchange communications will be entered into.
6. Neither the promoter nor Ford New Zealand are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. The promoter may disqualify any person who tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.
8. The prize will be awarded to the person or persons named as the Subscription Account Holder in the APN database.
9. The personal information the promoter collects and holds about you will be used for administration purposes such as billing and delivery, and to contact you from time–to–time with information about other APN products and services including contact from other companies within the APN News & Media Limited group of companies. You are entitled to have access to, and request correction of, your personal information by writing to the promoter at the below address, or calling 0800 100 888.
10. Each entrant agrees that, if he or she wins a prize, his or her details (including name, suburb/town, and photo) may be published in the Herald (print and/or online) and used for other publicity purposes without further compensation or permission.
11. The promoter reserves the right to disallow entries in its absolute discretion without giving reasons.
12. APN New Zealand Ltd (APN) is the promoter and it’s registered office is located at 46 Albert St, Auckland City.
